She first appears in the first episode of the first season and is responsible for helping Roman Torchwick escape from his botched heist. In her first appearance, her face is shadowed and she does not make a sound. Her voice and her physical appearance are revealed for the first time at the end of the first season. She is a powerful wizard with fire based powers. She is a mysterious woman working with Roman Torchwick on stealing Dust and actually outranks him, being one of the main antagonists of the series. She often collaborates with Emerald and Mercury and the three of them infiltrate Beacon Academy. She is an ambitious and confident woman who often has a smug smirk on her face.She is one of the few people in the world to be aware of the existence of the Four Maidens, four women named after seasons that wield incredible magic power. When one of them dies, her power is passed down to the last person on her mind as she passes away. Cinder is after the Fall Maiden's powers and currently has half of her powers, which is one of the reasons why she is so powerful. She plans to find the Fall Maiden and finish her off so that she can gain all of the Maiden's powers. Besides fire magic, Cinder also has control over Grimm, being able to communicate with them and use them to her advantage. Cinder is also working for a mysterious and powerful witch known as Salem. She is based off of the Cinderella fairy tale. She is voiced by popular cosplayer Jessica_Nigri, in her first voice acting role.
